Sand Key Beach in Clearwater is one of my favorite spots for family sessions because it gives you so much variety in one location. The sea oats and dune grass along the boardwalk create a soft, natural backdrop, while the iconic red and yellow lifeguard tower adds a pop of color and a bit of that classic Florida beach charm. Then, as the sun starts to drop, the open shoreline turns into a completely different backdrop, all soft light and long shadows over the water. Having both natural and man-made elements to work with in one session means the gallery never feels repetitive.
