St. Petersburg Wedding Photographer: The Deitz-Krupp Wedding at Granada Terrace Park
There's something special about a wedding that stays close to home, and the Deitz-Krupp wedding did exactly that. From getting ready in one of St. Petersburg's most iconic buildings to a reception full of laughter at Hops and Props, this day captured everything I love about being a wedding photographer in downtown St. Pete.
Getting Ready at The Historic Vinoy in St. Petersburg
The morning started at The Historic Vinoy, and honestly, this hotel never disappoints as a backdrop. The natural light pouring through those grand windows, the warm wood details, and the timeless architecture made for the perfect setting to capture the quiet, personal moments before the ceremony. Nervous laughter, final touches on hair and makeup, and that first look at the dress zipped up and ready to go. It's my favorite part of the day to photograph because it's so real.
Granada Terrace Park Wedding Ceremony
From the Vinoy, we moved to Granada Terrace Park for the ceremony. This little gem tucked into downtown St. Pete offers a gorgeous, intimate setting with lush greenery and that classic Old Florida charm. The couple exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends, and the park's natural canopy gave us beautiful soft light for the whole ceremony. There's nothing like watching two people commit to each other in a space that feels both grand and personal at the same time.
Wedding Reception at Hops and Props in Downtown St. Pete
The reception brought the party to Hops and Props in downtown St. Pete, and the energy shifted immediately. Great food, cold drinks, and a room full of people who genuinely love this couple made for a reception that felt more like a big family celebration than a formal event. First dances, heartfelt toasts, and plenty of dancing rounded out the night.
Downtown St. Petersburg Wedding Photography
What I love about weddings like this one is how much they showcase everything downtown St. Petersburg has to offer. The Vinoy, Granada Terrace Park, and Hops and Props each brought their own character to the day, and together they told the story of a couple who wanted their wedding to feel like home. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Deitz-Krupp. Thank you for letting me be part of your day.
